CryoPen Treatment

Is a hand held ‘pen’ size device that uses nitrous oxide to remove skin imperfections quickly and effectively with little to no downtime. The cryopen destroys the tissue by freezing the inter-cellular fluid, forming ice shards and crystals which rupture the membrane, thereby destroying the cell.

There is no skin preparation or topical numbing required for this treatment. Procedure time is from a few seconds to a few minutes each lesion or area treated. The results are permanent and the recovery time will take a maximum of 2 weeks.

Cryotherapy is relatively low risk. There are a few side effects that may occur as a result of your treatment, including hypo-pigmentation, nerve damage, shards of frozen ice particles may blow out onto healthy skin, but a full consultation will be held with the nurse practitioner before your treatment to discuss any concerns you may have.
